Halloween Day is coming soon.... Do you want a fun way to target vocabulary words? This set of cards is similar to “Spot It” and can be used to target vocabulary, describing, attending skills and visual discrimination! Students can practice new vocabulary related to Halloween by matching the picture to the definition, and labeling vocabulary words. Then they can have fun and practice the words by playing “Match - It!” The following words are targeted in this resource: Vampire Spider Coffin Mummy Skull Skeleton Potion Witch Candy corn Tombstone Cauldron Candied apples Haunted House Jack - ‘o’-lantern Treat bag Costume Ghost Frankenstein Full moon Costume **************************************************** Who can use this resource? Teachers - Brain breaks, homework assignments, and class rewards. ESL teachers - Can be used as a way for students to practice new vocabulary. PK, Kindergarten and 1st Grade teachers - Introduce your students to words they will find in the classroom. SLPs - Can be used in therapy sessions with groups and individual students to target vocabulary. The EET can then be used to describe the vocabulary words! OTs - Use these cards in your therapy sessions to work on visual discrimination. Social Skills Groups - work on expected vs. unexpected behaviors for winning/losing, good sportsmanship, identifying the size of the problem, whole body listening. and regulating emotions during the game.
