Description: This scavenger hunt activity is made for children who have a hard time sitting still during tele-health speech therapy sessions. All the objects are common household items. Practicing the targeted sound to describe common, everyday objects also helps with speech sound generalization. Support from a caregiver may be required to complete this activity. Directions: -Warm up by practicing the sound in isolation, with guidance. -Look for each object. -Each object is small enough to be carried and shown to the therapist. -Practice the word 5 times (with modeling/support from the therapist). -If the child can't find the object in their home, just practice 5 times and move on. This activity was created by a pediatric speech language pathologist.
