This interactive no-prep activity contains a variety of zoo animals to help students build a variety of expressive and receptive language skills. Students are able to follow 1-step directions, labeling common zoo animals, practice core word open, and use pragmatic skills by forming 2-word phrases (e.g. hello zebra). The activity contains the following animals: - Zebra - Walrus - Snake - Tiger - Turtle - Koala - Parrot - Lion - Penguin - Frog - Parrot - Peacock - Bear - Sloth - Lizard - Rhino - Monkey - Cheetah - Giraffe - Panda - Gorilla - Elephant - Kangaroo - Flamingo - Alligator The following IEP goal can be targeted during this session: - Expanding Utterances & Increasing MLU - Core Word OPEN - Pragmatics (e.g. Greetings) - Following Directions - Labeling Animals - Describing (e.g. colors, sounds, size, etc.) - WH Questions (e.g. ask students what do you see, what color, what sound does the animal make etc.)
