Description: This deck lets students practice spelling two-syllable words that follow the "Rabbit" Rule (CVC / CVC). These words are divided between the two consonants, and both syllables are closed with short vowel sounds. Words have been clearly enunciated, even with the few schwa sounds, so that students will be successful! What's included: All words have two syllables, both closed with short vowel sounds. Words may also contain blends and digraphs. There are 22 cards in total, one that explains the rabbit rule, and 21 spelling cards. How it works: Kids see a picture and hear a word, then they type the word in the box. Audio support is included for the Rule page as well. This activity is part of my Rabbit Rule Bundle, which also includes a syllable division deck and a word-building deck. This bundle is a great complement to your Orton-Gillingham or other Structured Literacy program!
