Description: In this is a deck of 54 cards your students will learn to identify and name African safari animals, Then they will practice answering YES and No to questions regarding animal classifications specifically safari animals. The activity begins with a receptive task to show a specific animal from a field of 3. Next, your students will be asked to perform an expressive task to show they can name the animals. Finally your students will see a card with a safari scene and the leading statement "going on safari and what do you see..." they will click to the next card on which they will see an animal in their binoculars with the statement: "I see a (animal)" and the question: "Is this a safari animal?" The student will respond verbally and clickon the YES-No button to make their answer. The way the later part of the activity is set up you can also begin work on inferencing and making predictions as the cards have the given animal somewhere in the background scene, so they can make an educated guess/prediction or tell you how they know what the animal will be by inferring from the picture. You can also work on answering where questions. This can be a very versatile resource that is only limited by your ability to adapt it to your needs!
