Description: In this chemistry Boom deck students learn to fill electron orbitals in order of lowest energy following the Aufbau Principle, Hund's Rule and the Pauli Exclusion Principle. Electrons are dragged into place to complete the electron configuration for 25 elements. All students receive each element. They start from lowest atomic number (H) and work through the first 17 elements. Then students receive choice transition metal elements and so on up to Cesium. Common misconceptions and mistakes are addressed and Boom does not allow them to score correctly until all electrons are placed correctly IN ORDER. They can NOT skip around. This is the perfect SUB PLAN or MAKEUP ASSIGNMENT to the classic "hog hilton" electron activity or just use it AS IS for virtual learning or even in the classroom to get students used to building electron configurations independently and at their own pace.
