Description

This digital apraxia consonant-vowel speech therapy activity targets production of bilabial sounds in combination with vowel sounds. With apraxia, it is important to target the movement sequence between sounds. With the “DRAW” feature, the child moves the brush from one object to another while verbalizing the sound sequence, then later is able to hear the target word while simultaneously saying the word paired with the movement. Functional word pictures are used to practice the sound combinations with /p, b and m/ targeting the motor speech movement. This activity works well with students who are beginning to use C-V sound shapes including children with apraxia or speech sound disorders and allows for multiple repetitions per slide.
