Description: This deck focuses on the all FIVE SHORT VOWEL WORD FAMILIES with a focus on the vowel sounds. All rimes end with the same consonant with a different vowel sound in each. Please visit my store, Tech for Teaching, for SHORT VOWEL WORD FAMILY ONSET-RIME decks focusing on each individual vowel sound. This fun and engaging deck of 20 cards will reinforce letter-sound association and blending in students as they work independently to match the onset with the correct rime to build the word. Each card includes a picture and a letter representing the onset, or beginning sound of the word. Students are required to drag the onset to one of three rimes to correctly spell the word represented by the picture. Audio is provided for the directions and picture on each card but students will need to blend the onset with the rime independently. Immediate feedback is provided, and students will be automatically directed to the next card once the correct answer has been chosen.
