Each slide shows an animal peeking in at the door, giving students repeated opportunities to decide whether the animal should come, come in, or not come. Students can respond using AAC and/or verbally. There is nothing to click—students respond on their AAC device, communication system, or verbally. AAC Language Targets May Include: come come in not come no come dog come in lion not come This resource can also be used to build communication around door safety and social problem solving. Students can discuss who should or should not come in, when it is appropriate to open the door, and what to do if an unexpected visitor arrives. This deck can be used with or without an AAC device, making it a valuable resource for educators, therapists, and caregivers.
