Word Connections: Clues & Compounds is intended to increase word awareness and to form strong semantic networking. Combining two words to form a new compound word helps to develop a deeper comprehension of word relationships for greater linguistic flexibility and word use. The card activities require the students to read a clue and add a word in order to form the compound word that answers the clue. Students then turn the page to check their answer and click the button for the next clue.
