Description

April 22nd is Earth Day! This is an Earth Day themed game focused on the following minimal pairs: S/SH; SH/CH; R/W, F/TH. DIRECTIONS: Tommy is learning to recycle so he was really excited for Earth Day on April 22th. On each card, there is a list of three kinds of items to recycle (plastic bottle, can, and newspaper). This is a collaborative game so all of your students work as a team to help Tommy get the three items for his mom, uncovering each colored rectangle to find the three items before the recycling truck gets there (when the picture of the orange recycling truck is uncovered). If someone uncovers the truck before the three items are found, the game is over. Each deck is focused on a particular minimal pair, with an audio clip under each rectangle. There is an easy (one truck) and a hard (two trucks) version for each. After listening to the audio clip, you can have your student repeat as many times as needed to achieve the target sound. Have fun!
