Description
Students will multiply two basic fractions together in this St.Patrick's Day themed activity. Students will see a multiplication sentence. They will multiply across numerators and denominators. Then, they will build the answer by dragging number tiles to drop zones that form a fraction. Students are directed to simplify as needed, but the deck is set up to accept either answer (simplified fully or not simplified at all). Numerators up to 8 Denominators up to 12 5.NF.4 Apply and extend previous understandings of multiplication to multiply a fraction or whole number by a fraction.
