Description: Social Skills Sleuth: Real World Rules investigates the often confusing world of functional communication and problem solving. Teenagers will follow a social event (going to the movies) and examine organisational/planning challenges, follow appropriate social conventions, starting conversations to achieve a goal, functional use of money, and appropriate conversation topics in connected social conversation. This deck uses evidenced-based practices and strategies to show students with social communication or pragmatic problems (particularly Autism/ADHD/etc.) a step-by-step guide to building up their core communication skills out in the community. Questions are either multi-choice, drag and drop, write it out, or open-ended in nature. Students will be better at functional communication and problem solving by using Real World Rules.
