Description: This is a linking verb activity for the verb forms of To Be, also known as the Copula verb (Is and Are). This bundle consists of 180 cards (115 fill in the blank prompts, 69 multiple choice prompts, and 65 open ended prompts). Enough for a few sessions and enough to keep your student motivated and busy! Teach your students the verb To Be in the present tense . Deck 1 specifically focuses on the use of the verbs Is and Are in simple sentences, with objects. Deck #2 It is a massive 93 card deck that teaches this skill in small steps to stabilize the use of IS, AM and ARE with AGENTS. I move from each form slowly (He, she, they, we, you, I - as well as formal names) and shift between receptive and expressive tasks that will keep your students thinking and motivated. Deck 3 is a simple drill deck to secure skills. A 3 page PRINTIE is also included for HW or Classwork. I teach this skill in steps so that it is slowly stabilized over the course of the decks. I geared art work for the older student who may not have mastered this rudimentary skill yet needs more practice. I use mature art work due to age.
