Description: Months of the year is a common theme for basic vocabulary for newcomer ESL students. Can your adult ESL students name the months of the year? Can they sequence the months? This bundle covers the months of the year in a variety of ways. Students will: * Begin with a card that allows them to see/read each month in order. They can hear each month's name by clicking on it. * Hear the month and select the word from a list of all the months (in order--will not randomize). * Hear "Which month comes after ___?" and select from a list of all the months (randomized). * Hear the month and select its abbreviation from a list of all the months' abbreviations (randomized). * Be asked, "How do you spell ___?" The shuffled letters for each month are given. Students must type each month with the correct spelling AND begin with a capital letter. * Get introduced to / review past, present, and future words last/this/next and was/is/will be. They'll have: "This month is (January)." They'll complete "Last month was ____." and "Next month will be _____." The month names are provided in random order under a moveable box for spelling help. * Get introduced to / review past/future words "ago" and "in". They'll have "This month is (February)." They'll complete: ____ was four months ago. It will be ______ in five months. All decks are for adult students. They're suitable for high school-aged students, but they will not engage young elementary learners.
