Description: This collection of decks focuses on b/d discrimination in single letters, b/d identification in words, and b/d reversals in two game formats, mazes and reveal the mystery picture. I use these in conjunction with prompting my students to use their "b d checker" (non-dominate hand forming b or d using index finger and thumb to create circle and remaining fingers to form "stick"). In the letter, word, maze desk students start with b d letter identification by discriminating between single letter b or d's. Next, student identify b or d's in the context of short words. Finally (and the most fun!), students track letter b/d in order to solve mazes. Three decks of b d mystery pictures have students practice b d letter identification in a game format. Students discriminate between single letter b or d's to reveal parts of a hidden picture. There are three sets included, starting with just a few slides to reveal the pictures and increasing the number of slides to see the hidden picture. In addition to helping with b/d reversals, these activities provide an opportunity to work on visual discrimination skills in a game format.
