Description: This bundle focuses only on those trickiest of sight words -- the "red" or "learned" words that don't follow the rules and can't be sounded out. Drawn from the Fry Sight Word and Orton-Gillingham Red Word Lists, these words are very common and so must be mastered, but it often takes lots of repetition and practice before they are truly learned. These decks provide a variety of activities of gradually increasing difficulty to ensure mastery: 1) Copy: See and hear a word, along with a picture, then type it three times as they say the letters out loud. 2) Build: Build the word by dragging letters into boxes. The "red" part goes into the heart, since it must be learned by heart! 3) Spell: Hear and see a word, then type it in the box. 4) Use the word in a sentence: This last activity, which is the most difficult, allows students to practice using the word in context. Please note: teacher grading is required for these cards! If you'd rather not do this, you can simply hide them in the deck. These decks are great for differentiation, as you can hide cards that students have already mastered, leaving them to focus only on those that really are tricky for them!
