Description: This is my entire Set A Synonyms edition! In this set, I have the same set of 20 words, which are age-appropriate for middle school, utilized in multiple contexts. The deck is designed to go in sequence from Task 1 to Task 5. The clinician starts out on the receptive tasks where maximum cueing and instruction should be provided, and by Task 5 it is more of an assessment level task where the student can verbalize the information. -20 words are consistent deck to deck. -2 decks are receptive, 3 decks are expressive Deck 1 is Receptive with Visual Cues Deck 2 is Receptive with Context Clues in Sentences Deck 3 is Expressive with Visual Cues Deck 4 is Expressive with Context Clues in Sentences Deck 5 is Expressive with Written Words (Assessment Deck) -These are multiple meaning words, which are also targeted in my multiple meaning words decks. -The Synonyms series with Set A focuses more on utilizing higher-level vocabulary that could be used as synonyms. (eg. address/residence,) The Multiple Meaning Words series focuses more on comprehension of the differing words and verbalizing those words correctly in sentences without a focus on using higher level vocabulary in synonyms.
