Description: Matching sentences to pictures is a simple, yet effective, way to get students reading controlled, decodable sentence while tapping into comprehension and vocabulary knowledge. Students must not only READ the sentences, but demonstrate comprehension by selecting the choice that best matches the picture provided. This BUNDLE currently contains 4 decks targeting: - CVC words with short vowels in isolation (a, e, i, o, u) - CVC words with mixed short vowel sentences - Consonant blends - Magic E words Decks for the following phonics skills will be added: - Glued sounds - VCCV words - VCCCV words - V/CV words - VC/V words Decks are organized by phonics skill. Students should read all three sentences and select the one that best matches the picture. The decks are self-correcting with immediate feedback. These activities are designed to encourage the re-reading of sentences in order to build fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, and confidence!
