Description: Creepy Crawly Spiders! Your children will understand the life cycle of a spider with this bundle. The first 7 cards are instructional ones that describe the life cycle and the students listen and click Next to continue. The next 5 cards show the life cycle with circular arrows and the children drag and drop a missing stage on 4 of those cards. The next 4 cards show a stage and the children must click on its name by using reading strategies such as beginning letter sound. The next 5 cards describe characteristics of a black widow, brown recluse, wolf spider, tarantulas, and barn spiders. On each of those cards the children click on all the pictures of that spider. With this set of printies you will receive the journal pages for your writing center in 3 different formats. Beginner writers will enjoy listing 3 facts they know about each stage of the life cycle - even one-word answers are appropriate! There is a format with plain lines and then one with dotted writing lines for the more experienced writers. Two worksheets are included for cutting and pasting pictures of the stages in order and for labeling the stages by cutting and pasting the words of the stages. Your students can learn to identify 5 common spiders by making a photo album! And there are two sheets of colored clip art for the stages and the types of spiders. Copy them onto cardstock, laminate them, and use them as word cards or for graph headings year after year! A great addition to your spider unit!
