Description: Students will master the meanings, pronunciation, and spelling of 44 Spanish family members and pets, starting by recognizing the vocabulary, listening to correct pronunciation, and finally spelling the words. Colorful photos and sound files with native speaker input increase fluency dramatically. Recognition: * Match the family member or pet photo with the corresponding word. * Listen to a Spanish family member or pet and choose the correct one based on the photo. Type in missing letters in the word. Listening: Listen to 4 Spanish family members and choose the correct one. Writing: Listen to a family member and write a sentence identifying him or her. Ex. Es mi madre. These activities also review, ¿Quién es? and ¿Quiénes son?. Level 1 Vocabulary: familia, madre, padre, hija, hijo, hermano, hermana, bebé, abuelo, abuela, tía, tío, esposo, esposa, primos, nietos, gato, perro, pez, hámster, tortuga, pájaro, cobayo, ratoncito, mascota, animal doméstico.
