Description: This bundle of two decks is for working on identifying emotions from facial expressions, body language and inferences. Both decks use real photographs of people of all ages and skin tones. Both decks offer (optional) audio directions. These are geared for middle and high school students. Deck One: Identifying Emotions Identifying feelings and emotions by facial expressions and body language. In the first half of the deck, pictures and clues to the emotions are presented. Then, students choose the correct emotion from four choices. In the second half of the deck, pictures are presented and students identify the emotion. They can move the red box to see the answer. Then students use descriptive language to type the identifying facial and body expressions of the emotion. In this section, the SLP or teacher provides response feedback. Over 20 emotions are presented. Deck two: Contrasting Similar Emotions: There are three activities within this deck to help student contrast emotions that can look similar to eachother. 1. Two pictures of similar emotions are shown and students drag and drop the correct emotion words to the picture and type in one way the emotions look different on a person's face or body. 2. The same emotions are presented in a picture and students choose 3 synonyms (from a choice of four) for that emotion word. 3. The same emotions are presented in a picture and students choose two things they might say to the person based on how they are feeling.
