Description: Includes printable game AND Boom Cards Activity This activity is designed for students who need practice multisyllabic words (2-4 syllables). This game has a guessing game format. Students will listen to the clues and then try to guess the words. These riddles work well for mixed speech language groups. Articulation students will practice saying multisyllabic words. Social skills groups can practice taking turns asking and answering questions. Language students can practice vocabulary, listening to clues and making inferences. They can also practice coming up with their own clues by describing the items themselves! This game also targets phonological awareness because students will be counting syllables as they play. How to Play: Print the Seek and Find Mat. I would recommend laminating it or using a plastic sleeve. Print the cards and cut them apart. Have one person be the reader who reads the clues to the group. Group members try to guess the word being described. Make sure to hide the picture on the card so others can’t see it! Group members can use a magnifying glass to search the page for extra fun! You can also have group members practice describing items for one another.
