Description: This Christmas figurative language resource is just in time for the holidays! This bundle includes two versions of the SAME 57 examples, but one deck has UNDERLINED helpful hints in the text. Students in the same class can work at their own pace and at their own ability using the same excerpts from Charles Dickens’ timeless classic A Christmas Carol. The two sets are identical in content and appearance EXCEPT the “Helpful Hint” version has UNDERLINED clues in the text. Students are asked to read each excerpt, determine the type of figurative language being used, and then click on the correct answer. This is great practice for recognizing examples of: *Alliteration *Hyperbole *Idioms *Metaphors *Onomatopoeia *Personification *Similes What’s included in each deck: *Title Page *Five Stave dividing cards *7 instructional slides that review the different types of figurative language (one type per slide) *57 interactive task cards (Helpful Hint version has underlined clues in the text) If you and your students enjoy this resource, please check out my BOOM store for other fun figurative language and ELA products!
