Description: This is a bundle of the digital and printable book "Polar Bear Fishing" You will receive a digital version of the book to use on BOOM Learning and a printable version of the book to print and assemble yourself (lamination and velcro required). This download also comes with printable worksheets to use with either version of the book (picture supported comprehension and a coloring activity). Your students will love lifting the flaps (print version) or sliding the flaps (digital/Boom version) to look for objects in the ice pond! This book targets functional vocabulary, MLU, inferencing, yes/no questions, positional concepts, and more! It has two interactive elements to keep your students engaged! (lift-able/slide-able flaps and moveable picture symbols). How to use: Read the book to the student. At the top of each page, the student is asked if Pat the polar bear caught a fish for his dinner. The student is then prompted to lift the flap (print version) or slide the flap (digital/BOOM version) and look. They will then answer yes/no (verbally and by touching the symbol). The student then will match the picture symbols to the box in the phrase (dragging or placing the correct picture) and verbalize the phrase (“He caught a _____”). I use this with prek-1st grade students and in speech therapy sessions.
