Description: The Unicorn Path reinforces the phonemic skill of segmenting and isolating individual sounds in three-sound words. All decks have audio instructions and prompts. Decks are sequenced to provide students with increasing difficulty. These decks are true phonemic awareness, with no printed words. Decks have practice cards with modeled instructions. These are TRUE phonemic awareness tasks. NO PRINT! Unicorns 1 & 2 require students to find the picture that has the same beginning sound as the target picture. Unicorns 3 & 4 are also matching pictures, but students must isolate the ending sound instead. Unicorns 5, 6, and 7 also focus on ending sounds. Students practice sound mapping by identifying the ending sound and dragging it to the correct box. Unicorns 8 & 9 focus on the middle vowel sound and matching pictures with the same vowel sound. Unicorns 10 & 11 are also focused on vowel sounds, both short and long. Students must identify the correct middle vowel sound and drag it to the phoneme mapping box.
