Description: Help students practice locating and using verbs in Proloquo2Go with this collection of 289 picture slides. The activities provide opportunities to build AAC navigation skills, expand vocabulary, and use verbs in functional communication. The verbs directly correspond to the nine verb categories found in Proloquo2Go, allowing students to practice locating vocabulary within their AAC system. The deck includes: Telling Verbs Body Verbs Place Verbs Thing Verbs Thinking Verbs Sensing Verbs Making Verbs Having Verbs Feeling Verbs The activities can be used on the BOOM Learning platform or downloaded as PDFs for use without the platform. Each slide includes a picture representing a verb. Since some verbs are abstract and difficult to illustrate, the intended verb is printed upside down in the upper-left corner for the instructor's reference. Many pictures can represent more than one verb! Depending on the student's abilities, you can focus on one verb, explore several verbs that fit the picture, offer choices, or expand responses into phrases and sentences. This activity can be adapted for different language levels and communication goals, including AAC navigation, verb identification, vocabulary development, and sentence formulation. Students can respond verbally, using AAC/their communication system, or with a combination of these.
