Description: These cards support the Words Their Way Spelling Program sorts. These decks supports the Green Book, Word Sorts for Syllables, and Affixes Spellers 3rd Edition. It covers learning and practicing the rules, building the word in sounds and sorting the words into their rules as well as looking at the exceptions. These decks cover the inflected endings (-ing, -ed, -s, -es) for Unit 1 Words Their Way Word Sorts 1-9 for Syllables and Affixes Spellers. Cards include fill in the blank and drag and drop. I've created this deck to help support my 'just below' spelling group who can be a bit hit and miss about identifying understanding the rule and who spend far too much time cutting and sorting the words and use it in conjunction with a digital spelling notebook. Students write the word, break it down into sounds, and sort them into rules/patterns.
