Description: The Deer Path reinforces number sense, counting, and numeral recognition. All cards contain audio prompts, but do not say the number. Decks are sequenced to provide students with increasing difficulty. Deer 1 is counting arrays and lines of 6 to 10 pictures. Deer 2 & 3 are counting circular configurations. Deer 4 is creating sets between 5 and 10. Deer 1 requires students to count arrays and rows and columns of pictures between 6 and 10 and choose the matching number. Deer 2 shows pictures in a circle and students must pick the matching number. There is one picture that is a different color to aide tracking. Deer 3 is also counting in a circle, but students must count shapes that are all identical. Deer 4 shows a numbers between 5 and 10 and students must drag and drop the correct number of objects to create a matching set.
