Description: 2nd Grade Math Unit 11: Money is a part of my twelve Second Grade Math Boom Card series. This unit is packed with nine games that were made to engage young learners. This unit was designed for second grade, but you can easily adapt it to your lessons to review the skills with third graders and to challenge high level first graders. Students will count pennies and dimes and figure out how many cents there are. (2.MD.C.8) Students will count nickels and quarters and figure out how many cents there are. (2.MD.C.8) Students will determine which kid has more money involving quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies. (2.MD.C.8) Students will drag and drop the correct amount of coins into each sack. (2.MD.C.8) Students will count the dollars and coins and determine the correct amount. (2.MD.C.8) Students will choose the item on the market stall that equals to the amount of money provided. (2.MD.C.8) Students will read the money riddle and determine the correct coins. (2.MD.C.8) Students will determine how much more money is needed to purchase an item.
