Description: Number Sense Practice Sets you can use all year long to help reinforce important number sense skills for students! Identifying Numbers Set Number sense (including counting numbers and identifying the numer in a variety of forms) is a critical component to math skills for students! In this activity, students will view the number on the top of the card. Then, students will type in the number in number form and word form. They will drag and drop the correct number of dots and drag and drop the correct hand (or hands) to represent the visual of the numbers. Comparing Two & Three Numbers 1 - 10 Sets: Students will work on comparing two/three numbers (1-10) by: -Counting out the number with black dots -Finding the number on the number line and circling it (2 number sets) Once the students complete these tasks, they will compare either the two or three numbers. I use these cards as a part of a Number Sense Unit. They are a great way to build on the counting and number identification skills which also building up to begin comparing two numbers. I am a high school special education teacher who teaches in a life skills focused classroom. These materials are adapted to the best of my ability to allow many learners to utilize them. I also work to create paraprofessional friendly materials that include an instructions slide and easy to understand steps to assist in supporting para and student relationships while completing the task.
