Description: This interactive no-prep activity helps students build a variety of expressive and receptive language skills. Students are presented with either a Mummy, Vampire or Frankenstein. Students are given a sentence that describes where the Vampire, Mummy or Frankenstein wants to go such as "Frankenstein/Mummy/Vampire is hungry." After, students are asked a "where" question such as "where should he go?" Students are given 2 visual choices of different community places, sport locations or rooms of a house. Students are asked to drag and drop the halloween theme character into the correct location. The following places are included in the activity: - Rooms of a house (e.g. kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, laundry room) - Community locations (e.g. library, pizza store, hospital, dentist, post office, pet hospital, airport. classroom, grocery store, bank, barber shop, cupcake shop, farm, clothing store, garage shop, pet shop, burger shop, pharmacy, movie theatre) - Sport locations (e.g. basketball court, track, pool) Some of the following IEP goals can be targeted during this activity: - Inference - Where Questions - Associations - Categories (e.g. ask students to name 2 items they see at the location such as what do you see in a kitchen or what do you see in a bedroom). - Identifying locations
