Description: This Community Helper deck focuses on painters and the tools they use in their job. This deck is filled with lots of information about what they do and the things they use in their everyday work. Students will learn words such as paint, ladder, stepladder, brush, paint scraper, and paint roller to build their vocabulary skills. I have also added a PDF file that contains extra activities that students can answer after the discussion. In this deck students will be able to: 1. get to know painters and the tools they use 2. name the tools they use 3. ask and answer WH- questions The activities include: 1. multiple choice with WH- questions 2. spelling out the words 3. answering WH- questions without choices The worksheets include: 1. coloring activities 2. tracing activities - Trace the painter to his tool. 3. matching activity - Match words to the pictures. 4. writing activity - How can they give back to the painters in their community?
