Description: Great back-to-school activity! This bundle includes 3 different decks, all focused on the alphabet. Each deck includes one medical term for each letter of the alphabet (A-Z) with no repeats across all three decks. No prior knowledge is necessary. The decks in this bundle can be assigned as homework or independent work. These decks would make great substitute lessons as well. Jigsaw activity: If your class contains <20 students, place students into 3 learning groups and assign one deck to each group. After each group has learned their assigned deck, jigsaw the groups into teaching groups of three students each, where there is one student who has learned Deck #1, one who has learned Deck #2, and one who has learned Deck #3. Each student must now teach the other group members the words they have learned in their original learning groups. As a final assessment, you can jigsaw the groups back into their original learning groups and have them complete a different deck than their original assigned deck. Jigsaw activity: If your class contains >20 students, place students into 6 learning groups where two groups are assigned Deck #1, two groups are assigned Deck #2, and two groups are assigned Deck #3. After each group has learned their assigned deck, jigsaw the groups so there are two students from Deck #1, two from Deck #2, and two from Deck #3 in a new teaching group. Each student must now teach the other group members the words they have learned in their original assigned deck.
