Description: This interactive no-prep activity contains a a variety of winter clothing items to help students build a variety of expressive and receptive language skills in an engaging way! Students are able to answer WH questions, label clothing items, label colors and increase MLU to form 2-4 word utterances. The activity contains the following: - Visual sentence strips to help students increase MLU - A variety of winter clothing items (e.g. sweater, jacket, hat, scarf, gloves, ear muffs, mittens, snow pants & ice skates) - A variety of colors (e.g. red, orange, yellow, blue, green, purple, pink, black, brown & white) Students are able to form the following sentence structures: - Adjective + Noun (e.g. pink sweater) - Noun + Adjective (e.g. the sweater is pink) - Subject + Verb + Object (e.g. I see a sweater) Some of the following IEP goals can be targeted during this activity: - Expanding Utterances and Increasing MLU - WH Questions - Describing (e.g. colors & attributes) - Core Word SEE - Identifying and Labeling Clothing Items - Body parts (e.g. can ask students to identify body parts on themsevles)
