Description: Looking for ways to elicit language and expand utterances with early communicators or AAC users? Spin and Build Decks are perfect for doing just that! I have created 2 decks meant to be used together. One is the "activity deck." In this deck the therapist/teacher can select a sentence level and the student say the sentence, then builds the character/object. The other is the "spinner deck" which selects parts for the student to build at random. This adds an element of surprise and fun! You can use both decks side by side in your browser by opening 2 windows or 2 tabs. You could also use one on a computer and one on an iPad! Activity Deck Includes: - 3-, 4- and 5-word sentence strips for "Put on" - 3-, 4- and 5-word sentence strips for "I want" - 3-, 4- and 5-word sentence strips for "I need" - Build a pizza without a sentence strip - Build a scene using butterfly and other draggable items Spinner Deck: *This is not a true animated spinner. There is no animation functionality, however the randomization of the deck acts like a spinner* - Each time the student clicks "spin" a random card will be drawn indicating with piece the student should add on next! This will be randomized every time the deck is used! You can work on so many targets other language targets with this activity! You can target following directions by giving the student directives for building the item, describing using prepositional concepts, commenting and more.
