About me: My first and most important job is being a wife and mother. I have been married for eight years now and together we have seven children. I was blessed with triplets 18 years ago, two girls and one boy. My husband has 3 children, two girls and a boy. Together we were blessed with a baby girl born with Down Syndrome. She has changed our life dramatically for the better. Our friends and family have been overwhelmingly supportive. She is the glue between all 9 of us. She has completed our family! Life is busy but we are the happiest two people around. Our children have blended together so well and we call ourselves "The Brady Bunch plus 1!".My second very important job is teaching. I have been teaching since 1998. I teach first grade and I LOVE it! There is never a dull moment and I never sit down at school. My first graders are loved just like my children. I enjoy their creativity, love for learning and each unique personality. I have the opportunity to co-teach with the Intervention Specialist at our school and we love working together. In my room we use the Daily 5 program as well as daily math rotations. Our children are always moving around and given lots of choices. I love art and we are always making something in class. I have the most wonderful parents who support me everyday at school. I truly feel blessed with the life I have been given and sometimes I have to pinch myself to make sure this is really my life!
