About me: Hello! I’m Adrianne Horton, a retired special educator with a Master of Science in Education from Hunter College and over two decades of experience with NYC Public Schools. Throughout my career, I focused on creating engaging, practical, and accessible educational materials for learners with diverse learning needs. As the mom of a young adult with autism, I also bring personal experience and perspective to the resources I create. Many of my materials are inspired by real-life learning experiences and everyday skills that support greater confidence and independence. My Boom Learning resources combine my professional background and personal insights with clear visuals, accessible language, and functional learning activities. I create resources for educators, families, and learners, with a growing focus on practical life skills and age-respectful materials for teens and young adults.
