About me: <p><strong>✨ HEY SPEDUCATOR✨ THANKS SO MUCH FOR BEING HERE ☺ </strong></p><p> </p><p><strong>✨ LICENSED SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER ✨</strong><br /><strong>I graduated MAGNA CUM LAUDE in the CLASS OF 2022 from Northern Illinois University and received a BACHELOR'S DEGREE in Education: Learning Behavior Specialist I. With being just shy of a MINOR in DEAF STUDIES, I also have 15 hours of AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE credits. </strong></p><p> </p><p><strong>✨ LICENSED SLP COLLABORATION ✨</strong></p><p><strong>In collaboration with a LICENSED Speech-Language Pathologist who has OVER 25 YEARS of experience, we create ENGAGING life stories and speech-language products. Together, we combine LIFE SKILLS aspects with SPEECH AND LANGUAGE strategies to support communication, connection, and FUNCTIONAL language skills.</strong></p><p><br /><strong>✨ SPECIAL EDUCATION EXPERIENCE ✨</strong><br /><strong>As a former COLLEGE ALUMNI and FULL-TIME TEACHER of 4 YEARS, I have been in all DIFFERENT settings such as ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS, MIDDLE SCHOOLS, HIGH SCHOOLS, and TRANSITION PROGRAMS to complete observations, clinicals, student teaching, and full-time teaching. Throughout each experience, I had the PRIVILEGE of working alongside students with varying levels of ABILITIES, AGES, BACKGROUNDS, and ETHNICITIES. While I have enjoyed working at the different grade levels, I have found my HAPPY PLACE to be at the HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL!</strong></p><p> </p><p><strong>✨ TEACHING PHILOSOPHY ✨<br />My PASSION is to EDUCATE and INSPIRE students to ACHIEVE THEIR GOALS while maintaining a POSITIVE and PRODUCTIVE learning environment for students of ALL ability levels. I FACILITATE LEARNING by teaching my students how to PROBLEM SOLVE, take RESPONSIBILITY, show ACCOUNTABILITY, and be INDEPENDENT. As a FACILITATOR of my students’ learning journeys, I actively ENGAGE them through levels of PROMPTING in all ACADEMIC LESSONS, JOB TRAINING, and FUNCTIONAL ACTIVITIES.</strong></p>
