The Card Craze Classroom

About me: Welcome to The Card Craze Classroom! I’m Jenn, and I’ve been teaching little learners for almost 25 years. I currently teach first grade and have many years of experience in second grade as well. I love watching my students gain confidence as readers, writers, and thinkers, and I absolutely love watching their eyes light up when something finally “clicks” for them. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Reading and Literacy, and I use everything I’ve learned to help young readers build strong, confident skills. One of the proudest moments of my career was being named Teacher of the Year for both my school and my district, an honor that reflects my dedication to creating meaningful, engaging learning experiences for my students. Creating Boom™ Cards has become a passion of mine. I love creating student‑friendly decks that make practice purposeful, accessible, and most of all, engaging. The decks I have created are geared towards kindergarten through second grade, but can be used as a reinforcement for any student needing extra practice on a specific skill. My decks are primarily phonics‑based and focus on decoding, word patterns, and essential reading skills which are the building blocks that help early readers grow. I have also created some math decks to reinforce key math concepts. Every deck is created with young learners in mind: clear directions, clean visuals, interactive tasks, and activities that help students feel successful while they learn. I want learning to feel joyful and achievable, one click at a time. I am excited to continue expanding my collection as time goes on. I hope your students enjoy these cards as much as mine do and that they bring a little extra spark to your classroom routine.
