About me: Hi! I'm Lucy! I have 10 years of teaching experience in 1st and 2nd grade. I love teaching phonics, reading, and writing. Boom Cards are such an important part of my classroom, and I create all of my decks based on the TEKS and Common Core Standards. My games are fun and entertaining. I create with the hard-to-engage child in mind! A lot of my decks even have GIFS! Most of my games have a decks with or without audio support for different class' needs. Make sure you look for "with Audio Support" in the title of the deck! My Career: I have taught 1st grade for 6 years and 2nd grade for 4 years in charter, public, and private schools. During the summers, I teach a reading and writing readiness camp for future 1st and 2nd graders. After school, I teach a club I created called, "Stories and STEM". The club encourages girls to find an appreciation for math and science by making connections with literature. Credentials: I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, certification in EC-6th, Special Education, and English as a Second Language (ESL).
