About me: <p>I am a special education teacher, with a majority of my experience in teaching students with autism. I'm always looking for different ways to engage my students, and try to base what I do off their interests. I've taught at the elementary, middle school, and high school level in my career, and am currently teaching high school in my district's autism program. We focus mainly on functional skills (academic, social/emotional, daily living), fostering independence, awareness of community and safety, and job/work skills. I LOVE helping students build independence, it is my favorite part of my job!</p>
