About me: <p>Hi, I’m an ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist and Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist with 20 years of experience supporting children’s communication and learning.</p><p><strong>Social Scribe & Scribble helps students move from noticing information to understanding what it might mean.</strong></p><p>Rather than beginning with <em>How does the character feel?</em> or <em>What should they do?</em>, many of my resources start one step earlier: <strong>What do you notice? What clues do you have? What might those clues mean?</strong></p><p>This observation-first approach helps students connect language, body clues, context, perspective, and story events to build meaning. Students are encouraged to use evidence, consider possibilities, and express what they understand, not simply memorize social rules or search for one “correct” interpretation.</p><p>You’ll find neurodiversity-affirming resources for <strong>social literacy, emotional understanding, perspective-taking, narrative and reading comprehension, language, articulation, and motor-speech practice</strong>, with accessible language and flexible ways to respond.</p><p>Inspired by the spirit of <em>Maski Papaano, </em>a Tagalog phrase meaning “making it work.” Social Scribe & Scribble creates practical tools that make room for curiosity, reflection, communication, and connection.</p>
