Voices of the Village

About me: <p>Hi, I’m April, the educator and creator behind <strong>Voices of the Village</strong>. I bring <strong>17 years of teaching and instructional leadership experience</strong> to the resources I create.</p><p>I hold a <strong>Bachelor of Arts in English, Master of Arts in Secondary Education, and Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction</strong>, along with a <strong>Gifted Endorsement</strong>. I am certified in <strong>Mathematics for grades 4–8 and ELA for grades 6–12</strong>. Today, I serve as a <strong>microschool founder, director, and instructional leader</strong>.</p><p>Voices of the Village offers engaging resources primarily for <strong>upper elementary and middle school students</strong>, with content extending through 10th grade. You’ll find resources across <strong>ELA, math, social studies, and Black history</strong>, with a special focus on <strong>Black history reading activities and scaffolded math practice</strong>.</p><p>My resources are designed with homeschoolers, microschools, classroom educators, and intervention settings in mind.
