Spirited Science

About me: <p>I have been teaching 5th - 8th grade science since 2002. I recently started using the Amplify Science program and I love it! I have a lot of ELL students who need extra pratice with the vocabulary and key concepts in order to be successful in writing scientific arguments and engaging in classroom discussions. I assign my decks to all of my students, but boomcards allows those who need more practice to keep practicing. I also love that I can see reports on each students' progress for each deck.</p> <div>I have three daughters at home...a 3 year old, a 7 year old, and ean a 14 year old. Needless to say, I don't have a lot of extra time in my life! Therefore, my decks aren't going to have fancy background or features. Instead, I focus my attention on creating quality questions that help students regularly retrieve information from their brain so they can access it quickly in order to engage in higher level thinking tasks and discussions we do in class.</div>
