About me: <p>Creating Communication by Samantha Irace, M.S., CCC-SLP, TSSLD</p> <p>Hi! I’m Samantha, a New York State licensed and ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist serving children across Early Intervention, Preschool, and School-Age settings on Long Island, NY. I also hold my Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) certification.</p> <p>I received my Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Teachers College, Columbia University in 2021, and my Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Adelphi University in 2019. I have been practicing as a pediatric SLP for the past five years. </p> <p>Through Creating Communication, I design engaging, visually supported digital resources for speech-language pathologists, special educators, and classroom teachers. My goal is to create activities that make language learning interactive, accessible, and meaningful for students with a wide range of communication needs.</p> <p>My resources focus on helping students:<br /> • Build expressive and receptive language skills<br /> • Strengthen vocabulary and word relationships<br /> • Practice describing, comparing, and explaining ideas<br /> • Support articulation and phonological development<br /> • Develop critical thinking and language organization<br /> • Bypass speech and language disabilities to access curriculum content</p> <p>All activities are created with real therapy and classroom use in mind and are designed to work well in speech therapy sessions, telepractice/virtual therapy, language intervention groups, literacy centers, and small group instruction.</p> <p>As a practicing SLP, I’m passionate about developing practical tools that support communication growth while keeping students engaged and motivated to learn.</p>
