About me:
Assistive Technology Connection raises awareness about assistive technology (AT) tools and strategies that support communication and learning. The RealTalk product line is designed for speech-language pathologists and educators who support students with complex communication needs. Each deck features high-quality, realistic photos that promote vocabulary development and generalization across settings. RealTalk decks pair with any AAC system and include 40 speech-generating core words to create engaging, multimodal learning experiences. A core communication board embedded on each card supports aided language stimulation (“modeling”), helping educators provide consistent exposure to picture-based communication in meaningful contexts.

About the author: Becky Woolley works as an Assistive Technology Specialist for a large school district, where she supports AAC users, speech-language pathologists, and teachers in implementing effective communication supports in classrooms.
