Description: Vocabulary games for tier two vocabulary words from the book "Bear's New Friend" by Karma Wilson. There are six vocabulary words included (clatter, scurry, peer, scamper, rustle, reluctant). My students love this activity. If you are able to do it with your student, you can add motions (ex. "if this is an example of scurry, say 'scurry' while you pretend to run"). This is a research-based activity for learning new vocabulary. Students benefit from engaging actively with new vocabulary words and learning about different contexts in which words can be used. This deck can still be done if you don't have the book, but it is a great add-on activity if you do have the book.
