Description: Practice adding Suffix er To play this comparative game Player 1 will look at the images and thinks of a comparative adjective eg the boy feels hotter than the girl. If player 1 is correct they tap the number on the card that is designated to them and the number will change from 0 to 1. Player 2 then has a turn to think of another comparative adjective. eg longer - The girl has longer hair than the boy. If player 2 is correct they tap the number designated to them on the card and tap for it to change from 0 to 1. Play continues until the players cannot think of any more comparative adjectives. Most of the time in this game the student can add the suffix er to their guess but occasionally they may think of an irregular comparative which would also be correct eg most sweat, The boy has the most sweat. This game is useful for working on comparative semantic relationships in speech language pathology or the classroom. The game is open ended and the text box can be used to help the student write the comparative in a sentence. The text box can also be used to record the comparatives used by the student and kept as data for your student in your boom reports. Due to the open ended nature of this game if the student choses and irregular comparative adjective you will be able to assist them with using this eg less chocolate, more strawberries.
