It includes 10 situations/scenarios with visual stimuli and three answer choices to promote language and critical thinking skills. Students can reflect on their own experiences to determine the cause of each situation, and if unfamiliar, they can detect clues and “connect the dots” to clarify the situation. Encourage your students to make educated guesses based on what they know, as this is a great way to practice the skill of determining causes. Some situations may have several probable causes, and thinking of more than one cause can increase thinking flexibility.
